Meeting Registration

Online conference registration is now closed, however onsite registration will be available. Credit card or check payments will be accepted (no cash payments). Onsite registration in the Grand Ballroom Lobby of the Lory Student Center will be available at the following times:

  • Sunday (June 30) from 4:00-7:00 pm
  • Monday & Tuesday (July 1-2) from 7:00-10:00 am.

Full and Student Registrations include the opening reception on June 30, the full conference program July 1-3, and lunches and coffee breaks throughout.

Abstract Submission

Abstract submission is now closed. However, you will be able to view and update accepted abstracts through Friday, June 14. Submissions are limited to 2000 characters max (~250 words), with up to 2 submissions per lead author. Tentative conference tracks:

Workshop Proposals

Workshop proposals are no longer being accepted. Submissions are limited to 2000 characters max (~250 words), with up to 2 submissions per workshop chair. Workshops will take place inside or outside the Lory Student Center at the conclusion of the main conference, from 1-4pm on Wednesday, July 3. Workshop organizers will receive complementary meeting registration. Past workshops from the 2016 Corvallis conference and 2018 Wilmington conference covered a variety of topics including:

  • small-scale biochar production
  • biochar use in home gardening
  • carbon-smart farming
  • biochar composition & performance standards
  • chemical analysis of biochar
  • biochar in stormwater management

In your proposal, please briefly specify the proposed workshop title, target audience, format (seminar, roundtable discussion, activity or demonstration, etc.), and learning objectives for the attendees.
